Extracurricular activities are a vital element in any child’s cognitive, physical, language, social and emotional development. They often build on the learning that takes place during school hours.
Extracurricular activities are not about learning and showcasing new skills to the world in order to win prizes. The purpose of these activities is to allow the child to know more about himself, while discovering the world around him. A healthy balance of academic workload, extracurricular activities and fun should be considered when choosing and pursuing the activities for our children.
